The Residency was an artist residency and a curatorial project taking place in the heart of Zurich’s old town - in an empty nine-story house built in the 19th century. A Swiss-wide open call for artists/projects was answered with 62 applications for the temporary artist hub. 30 artists were selected and invited to realize projects over the course of four months throughout the 1600 square meters of the building.

The Residency was a place for talks, concerts, exhibitions, performances, parties, and workshops. The idea of the residency was to create a dynamic space - a meeting point for artists and for building a community in the otherwise static old town of Zurich.

The Residency was a temporary project which took place from December 2018 to April 2019.
