Apples & Olives Festival is one of the most relevant platforms of the indie-classical scene in Switzerland. The music festival brings the most exciting national and international acts between contemporary classical, jazz and club music to the stage. Originally held in Zurich, in the venues Moods and EXIL, Apples & Olives expanded to the city of Bern for its fourth edition in 2020. In 2022, Apples & Olives will be held in Zurich, Hamburg and Utrecht. 

Next to showcasing international and national acts, Apples & Olives is focused on commissioning artists to develop new pieces of music to be premiered at the festival. The festival has expanded to include representative Co-Curators from Hamburg and Utrecht. The festival is now co-curated by Judd Greenstein, Nik Bärtsch, Etienne Abelin, Kate Nordstrum, Brechtje Van Dijk, Frank Veenstra, Justus Wille and Philipp Cron.
