In the beginning of 2026, I had the opportunity of conducting a research trip in India supported by Pro Helvetia New Delhi under the title “Building bridges in music & media between India and Switzerland.”

I was invited to conduct research and connect with artists and communities across Mumbai, Goa, and Delhi, with a focus on understanding local and national music/arts ecosystems - like cultural funding structures, festival organisation, and how institutions operate.

I also took part at EyeMyth Festival in Delhi as a speaker, where I gave a lecture about my curatorial practice and approaches to fostering exchange through music-based projects. At EyeMyth, I observed how a media arts festival can connect sound, technology, and storytelling while remaining rooted in both local and global contexts. I also presented my own curatorial practice, focusing on music as a form of social engagement.

Throughout the trip, my friend Tejas Nair supported me in facilitating meetings with artists working across music, visual arts, and technology.

The research trip gave me valuable insights into curatorial strategies, collaborative workflows, and participatory, genre-fluid approaches to music and media. It also opened up new possibilities for long-term collaboration and exchange between India and Switzerland.
